Sorry & Balmi in strawberry

Firstly I would like to say sorry due to me not posting. I currently had been down to the south for a wedding for 2 days but my family who live 2,585 miles or 44 hours away came for a little holiday.

This is like the well known Eos lip balms but are more expensive and the shape on top is different.

I did not go to boots to go on buying this product but when visiting Boots for more Soap & Glory products i was by the lip balm. Instead of the usual Vaseline I seen this.

The Balmi lip balm is presented in a round circular tub, with the product sticking out of the bottom lid to make it cleaner and easier to apply. It comes with a keyring type string so it can be attach to your purse or phone but the problem with this is it is heavy for the average lip balm so can be quiet bulky.

At first I bought this product for the unique packaging  but the product inside is what I really love now. The flavour : when I say flavour you can really taste it without the plastic taste some lip balms contain. The taste of strawberries is very strong and very sweet tasting. I love the taste as it also reminds me of some chewing gum I buy in turkey (bit random but I love them). The Balmi Lip Balm provides SPF 15 and UVA protection.

The only bad things about it is a bit pricey at £4.99

This is part if a range of flavours which includes mint, coconut and raspberry. This can be bought for £4.99 at Boots for 10ml.

Soap & Glory Sexy Motherpucker in Punch Bowl & CandyGloss

Before Soap & Glory offered a make-up range fully they included a eyebrow pencil called 'Arch de triumph' and also Sexy Mother pucker but only in one colour. When the full range of make up was in shops they offered a wide range of colour of the glosses, I found the original colour was Candy gloss - which is a gloss that is a little pink.

Left - Candy gloss Right - Punch Bowl

I have two colours from the lip gloss range - candy gloss in the original packaging and also Punchbowl. Candy gloss is a cloudy gloss - not clear as light pink has been added. when on top of lipsticks the colours can not be seen. Punch bowl is a hot pink colour that adds colour to a lipstick or just by itself due to it been highly pigmented.

The lip gloss has a long wear level meaning you do not need to top up regularly saving you product lasting longer. ( I did swatches and found it hard to just wipe it way with water). As well as adding colour it also adds volume to your lips with the pumping effect.

Both can be brought for £9 at Boots and Soap & Glory

Batiste XXL Volume & Lace dry shampoo

Ever have them days when you feel your hair is not fresh and makes you feel down? Well when i feel like this I tend to use a dry shampoo. The first brand which I also think of and turn to is Batiste.

Batiste currently owns 84% of the dry shampoo market and its no wonder they do.

Batiste has brought out new products - two of which I am going to review. The lovely people at Batiste sent me Lace* and also XXL volume*.

Lace*

Lace* is available in 200ml can which is priced at £2.99. The can is decorated with the vintage style of lace. The style of the bottle also fits in with the new fashion trend fitting in with your wardrobe.

The scent is more sophisticated compared to the other ranges of dry shampoo made by Batiste. The new scent available offers nee base notes of white musk, cedar wood and sandalwood. The top notes of this scent are citrus fruits, nutmeg and pink pepper.

How to use:

Shake the can vigorously (shake it fast), then holding the nozzle 30cm away from the hair, spray onto the roots lifting up sections of the hair for better coverage. the using your finger tips massage the product into your hair then brush and style as usual helping remove those oily roots.

This can be brought from Superdrug and Boots.

XXL Volume*

XXL Volume* is sold at £3.99 for 200ml. The can is very vibrant with swirls of hot pink and white reminding me something from the 50s era to the early 60s. The can is clean looking yet nice to look at.

This dry shampoo has two benefits - 1. clean refreshed hair  2. hair that has added volume. The dry shampoo creates hair with volume without the use of back combing or water. As well as adding volume it also adds texture to help create those gorgeous up-dos while removing those oily roots.

Wondering how it creates volume? Well the clever people at Batiste have added micro fine particles to increase the thickness and fullness without dragging your hair down - weightless.

How to use:

Just like before you Shake the can vigorously (shake it fast), then holding the nozzle 30cm away from the hair, spray onto the roots lifting up sections of the hair for better coverage. the using your finger tips massage the product into your hair then brush and style as usual.

This can be brought from Superdrug and Boots

Birthday List

My birthday is not very soon, its in may. I'm not a big fan of birthdays or Christmas but I am grateful for the gifts, I just don't know why I don't like them but my family are the same. when it comes to celebrations or just in general I tend to make list of gifts I would like to buy in the future or I would like to be bought. It helps my family members chose a gift for me that I will love. I tend to add gifts from £1 to £10 (Macbook Pro). I know that is a lot of money but I tend to chip in with gifts of that price. also the list is to all my family members so my mum and dad would tend to buy the bigger one. FYI I have asked for the laptop for 4 years and I don't accept to be bought it but its a dream of mine.

i currently use Amazon Wish List as it easy to use but also there is Kaboodle which you can sign up using a email. Another list like Kaboodle is called Wantworthy.

an example of a wish list is mine - Birthday wishlist

Three things from my list:

The Canon PowerShot SX240 HS Digital Camera. This is sold at £159.99. When writing a blog pictures are better if took yourself. I currently used my iPhone w/ Camera+  app but the quality is better when off a camera. The price is reasonable as it takes HD pictures and also it small to carry around.

The Sigma essential kit. I love make-up and these brushes are always top-rated. I have always wanted good quality brushes and these are at a reasonable price for the quality.  They are sold on the sigma website at $98 or £64.51. The set includes brushes that are used daily.

My dream. The Macbook pro is sold at £999 but with Keynotes and Pages add it is £1023. The computer in my opinion is worth the price as it comes with software (photoshop). The laptop is very professional looking and clean which I love.
